TOON TALK: CREATING COMICS FOR YOUNG READERS

Sunday, December 9, 2018

2:00pm

781 Beach Street, FL 1, San Francisco, CA 94109

Join us for a Sunday afternoon to learn how comics are crafted for beginning readers. Lee Nordling (award-winning author o, BirdCatDog, SheHeWe, The Brambles and more comic books for young readers), will discuss approaches to the craft of creating comics for younger kids, who aren't yet fully versed in how the comics medium works, and what kind of stories are more likely to appeal to very young readers. An interactive reading of one of Lee Nordling's comic books will start the event and a signing to follow the conclusion of the discussion will take place in the Bil Keane Family Lobby of the museum that will be free and accessible to the public.
